Dedan Kimathi University of Technology as one of the key approved TVET institutions was selected to organize and host the WSK Mechatronics and Industrie 4.0 through Siemens Mechatronics Certification Centre

The main objective of this exercise was to prepare the Kenya Mechatronics and Industrie 4.0 skills competitors for the WorldSkills International competition scheduled in Lyon, France from 10^th to 15^th September 2024. As the host of Mechatronics and Industry 4.0 Skills competition, DeKUT was hosting a training program to assist competitors in preparing for WorldSkills 2024.

The specific objectives were to: 

• Recruit experts and Judges for the Mechatronics and the Industry 4.0 Skills.
• Train Kenya Mechatronics and Industrie 4.0 skills competitors
• Run the Competition for Kenya Mechatronics Industrie 4.0 skills competitors
• Consult/engage with Kenya Mechatronics and Industrie 4.0 skills stakeholders
• To assist competitors in preparing for WorldSkills 2024.
