Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Realities

We are committed to embracing Industry 4.0 technologies, even more so now with the new normal caused by government efforts in combating Covid-19. Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, Mixed Reality and Extended Reality are technologies that generally bring our imagination to life, making concepts that were once complex or inaccessible to be real.

These technologies have been successfully tested and applied in the military, entertainment, business and most relevant to us in education. Mechatronics is a discipline that is indeed complex, requiring the student to employ abstract thinking to understand the concepts. The VR technology will help students visualize the concepts through Immersive education.

VR and AR will also make the expensive equipment that students would never access for training because of competition from industry users, now virtually available for there practical while also giving them freedom to learn without fear or risk of damage.  

We envision creating a virtual lab to improve students’ attitude and capacity to learning the Siemens mechatronics systems. Studies have shown that these visual and imaginative technologies have often given students an unforgettable experience, therefore improving their ability to recollect what was taught and consequently improves the academic performance.
